HOUSTON - Taylor Morrison has agreed to purchase almost three-dozen home sites in one of northwest Houston’s best-known master-planned communities, Bridgeland.

The Houston homebuilder has announced that it will build on a series of 70-foot home sites in the community, located in Cypress, with an expected opening date for the neighborhood in the fall of 2014.

Bridgeland adds to Taylor Morrison’s already impressive lineup of communities in the Cypress area. Currently, Taylor Morrison builds in two Cypress communities, Park Creek and Cypress Creek Lakes, with Bridgeland joining Alder Trails as future neighborhoods in the Houston suburb.

“Bridgeland has been a destination community for some time now and to be a part of this wonderful master-planned community is something special,” said Jim Ellison, vice president of sales and marketing for Taylor Morrison’s Houston division. “We’re hopeful our homebuyers will be as excited as we are.”

The Houston homebuilder has plans to build its Legacy Series of homes at Bridgeland and Ellison said the homes wouldn’t disappoint.

“This will be a community that homebuyers will want to check out,” he said.

There is plenty for homebuyers to discover at Bridgeland. Within the community, homebuyers will find an on-site elementary school, amenities that include 60 miles of walking trails, access to more than 3,000 acres of green space, 400 acres of parks and 900 acres of lakes. Residents can also enjoy planned activities at the community’s 6,000-square-foot Lakeland Activity Center.

In addition, Bridgeland has announced plans for an 800-acre Towne Center as well as future school sites within the Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District (ISD). In addition, the community offers convenient access to local shopping, dining and recreational opportunities.

Positioned conveniently off U.S. 290 and with access to the newly opened Grand Parkway via the Bridgeland Creek Parkway, the community offers residents access to Houston’s Energy Corridor and, by 2015, additional access to Houston’s ExxonMobil campus and George Bush Intercontinental Airport.
