DALLAS, Aug. 13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Darling Homes has introduced an all-new exterior color palette for its new luxury homes in Dallas and Houston. The ten new color schemes—for both traditional and Mediterranean exteriors—will be available for the first time in every Darling Homes community.
Darling Homes is the only Texas homebuilder with an in-house architectural colorist, tasked with developing color combinations that are best suited for the landscapes and lifestyles of both these cities. The new paint and brick colors are the result of months of intensive research combined with input from home buyers and feedback from Darling Homes community sales managers.
"Now a home buyer can select any of our new exteriors wherever they go," says Lee Crowder, architectural colorist for Darling Homes. "These colors establish a vision and street scene that ensures our new homes maintain their appeal and value for years to come. It's Darlings mission to protect the investment our buyers make by creating custom-built homes that remain beautiful for the lifetime of a community."
A sixth-generation Texan, Crowder is also responsible for the interior finishes and selections in every Darling Homes model, from plumbing hardware to flooring. The goal, she says, is to demonstrate how Darling can deliver personalized touches for every buyer.
Darling home buyers can customize their new homes with patterned carpets to create a memorable space in bedrooms, studies and media rooms and make master suites even more luxurious with the addition of wood, tile and fabric accents.
Unique stone and tile fireplaces, rich wood paneling in studies and cedar beams to accentuate high ceilings also serve as eye-catching focal points throughout Darling homes.
"We're building a place where people will build their memories," she adds.
Crowder coordinates her efforts with Darling's in-house architectural team, a group of 20 professionals who design floor plans, elevations and streetscapes for every Darling community.
"We pay close attention to understanding how people live today and what will make sense for them tomorrow," says David Matthews, head of Darling Home's in-house architectural team.
The team also focuses on creating practical solutions for today's homebuyer, or as Matthews describes them, "ideas that just make sense."
Matthews says one of the best examples of the team's common-sense solutions was connecting the master closet to the laundry room, thereby eliminating the need to carry clothes through a master bedroom and down a hall way. Most commonly known as the "Darling Loop," the feature is one of the luxury homebuilder's most popular floor plan options.
Darling Homes offers new homes from the $250's to over $1 million in several of the DFW and greater Houston area's most sought-after master-planned communities. Established in 1987, the company builds high-quality luxury homes which combine custom details, home design options and flexible floor plans.
